The Loch Ness Monster first made its "appearance" in 565 in St Columba's biography, but it was more recent times that brought the legend to life. It has been 75 years since the first photographic "proof" of Nessie appeared. Since then, thousands of photos and stories have emerged.
Although there were several reports of sightings before then, the first photograph was taken by Hugh Gray in November 1933. Although grainy and misty, the photo shows something in the loch. There are many speculations as to what the photo is actual of.
Underwater Photography
People from all over the world wanted to get a remarked of the creature, some thought about to capture it. There have been numerous expeditions into the loch in search of evidence. In the 1960s, a ten year analysis was made. Sonar studies in 1968 found multiple large animate objects, but were unable to recognize them. An expedition in 1987 reported several unidentified intelligent objects. There have also been strange sound recordings.

Constant hoaxes make it difficult to prove the existence or non-existence of Nessie. Many photographs have been altered to present a monster. One of the most celebrated is known as the "surgeon's photo", which presents a plesiosaur-like creature. (Plesiosaurs were long necked water dinosaurs believed to be extinct for several million years). This photo seemed to be legitimate evidence for almost 30 years, until revealed as a fake in 1994. Many other photos have been explained as birds, otters, deer, seals, and more.
The possibility of the Loch Ness Monster increased due to the recent discovery of a coelacanth fish that was believed to be extinct hundreds of millions of years ago. The discovery of "Nessie's Lair", a large underwater cavern, has added to the possibility suggesting there could be a network of caves for such a beast to hide in.
You can conclude for yourself either you believe or not, but the legend continues to grow.

3. Rule what the subject of the photograph is. Viewers should not have to guess what the subject is. If the subject is not clear then there is not much point in going very deep in the review.
4. Observation the techniques that were used to bring out the subject. Was a narrow depth of field used to blur the background and foreground while keeping the subject in focus? Was the subject appealing during the shot? Were techniques used to show motion?
There are many techniques that can be used to bring attention to the subject. Are any particular techniques noticeable? Should a different technique have been used?
5. See if there is anything in the shot that unnecessarily distracts from the subject. Is there something in the background that draws your eye away from the subject? Photographers should make sure that there are no distractions in the viewfinder before releasing the shutter.
6. The final step in reviewing a photo is to establish a personal opinion. Do you like the picture? Why or why not? If it is your shot, what should you do differently next time... If anything? If it is person else's, would you have taken a different approach?
If person wants you to communicate their photograph, do so. Give them your honest opinion, with constructive criticism if necessary.
The more photographs that you communicate the good prepared you will be for different photographic opportunities.

Early cameras of the 16th and 17th century were able to project images onto paper or glass but the study of capturing, processing and printing the images took many more years. Up until the 17th century, scientists believed that light was composed basically of the 'white' that is perceived by the human eye. It took the study done by predominant physicist Isaac Newton to witness that light is truly composed of a spectrum of colors. While he made a big gift to the study of optics (that is at the core of camera advances) with this discovery, Newton did not truly have whatever to do with camera improvement per se.
The early camera that first became a phenomenon was a minute more than a pinhole camera and can be traced back to 1558. It was called the Camera Obscura. The Camera Obscura was seen as a drawing tool for a clearer and realistic portrayal of objects. It was in the early 19th century that an invention named the Camera Lucida was introduced by Cambridge scientist William Hyde Wollaston that consisted of an optical gismo that could help an artist view a distant scene or man or object on a paper outside that he or she was using to draw. In other words the artist gets to view a superimposed image of a subject on paper and this image could be effectively used to attempt to draw, trace or paint it.
